Squire and Scribe went skiing for the first time yesterday. They had a blast. A local ski hill offered a special for home schoolers. The $20.00 fee included equipment rental, lift pass, beginner lesson, and six hours on the slope. What a deal!

A fresh snowfall and mild temperatures made it the perfect day for skiing. I now have two boys who think they have found "their sport". The best part is that the special will be offered again next month.
Skiing is great! So glad they had fun! I remember my first time skiing...it was a blast once I got the hang of it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
What a great day for them to spend the day and that's pretty cheap for skiing too!
ReplyDeleteOops....I fogot to ask....no broken bones or injuries??
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal! Very cute pictures. My kids would love to learn to ski but I havn't seen any deals like that around here.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a deal! They look like they had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWhew, that is a fantastic deal! I heard the King took them there; did he ski, too?
ReplyDeleteI remember my first time skiing; it was in Aspen, Colorado. My sister went with me up the slope, showed me a couple of things, and said, "See you at the bottom!" Three hours later I reached the bottom. The next day I could hardly walk; I was stiff and sore from falling down so much!
I was in my early twenties at the time, but I still occasionally have dreams about skiing off the side of a mountain because I don't know how to turn. I'm fifty-seven now.
I never went downhill skiing again, but did learn to cross-country ski, and loved it!
I still like my sister.
