Cake Man

Jester finished his second cake decorating course.
This course focused on royal icing. Each week he
learned how to make different flowers. They were
then dried and saved for the last week.
The course finale, complete with a basket weave finish:

I think he did a great job! But now we must wait a month.

He was too stressed out to go on. That one night a week was just too much for him. He thinks he will start again in November and learn fondant techniques. Stay tuned...

  1. Hi, Cake Man,

Most impressive and beautiful! Of course I love that basket weave finish, too-looks like alot of work.

They need a "Duff" (from Food Network) course that has subject matters that are a little less girlie! :)

I took Scott past your place today while we were out house hunting. All your vehicles were there but he didn't want to stop. :o)

  9. Godmother,
Fondant is a rolled icing. Kind of like rolling out a pie crust, but it is a sweet frosting. It is purchased pre-made. I don't know if you can even make it at home.

    Weavermom,
He would love to take "Duff" class. Better yet, maybe Duff would apprentice him.

Duff...Hey Duff...Are you reading this? Jester would be a great addition to your show....
