Hi--A Lot's Been Going On Here!

Hi All,
Just want to let you know that I'm still around.

Jouster is home for good. He'll have been home for two weeks tomorrow and things are going fine. He is such a joy to have home. We've decided he will be homeschooled his last year of school and he is contemplating a job opportunity with a friend of ours. I'll let you know how things go.

My sister and her family were here for a week. Friday, the last night she was here, I had a miscarriage. It was pretty bad, I ended up spending four days in the hospital and needing a blood transfusion. I got home yesterday. I am pretty weak right now and have spent a lot of time napping. I've been told it will take at least a month before I am back to normal (whatever that means--I've never been quite normal). I am just thankful to be alive. There was a point when I honestly thought I would not make it. My husband took a picture of me laying in the hospital bed and I looked like a corpse. Pretty scary.

Emotionally I am a little down. I can't help but wonder why I had to lose another baby. God knows. I wish he'd tell me.

  1. We are bit farther away. We live north of the cities up 169. I think it is about 1 1/2 to Hutch. We go to Litchfield every summer for a reunion. My husband's aunt used to live in Hutch, and we had our honeymoon there in the Victorian Inn.

  2. Oh Michelle,

I am so sorry. I have wondered if you were doing okay because you have not posted in so long. I have no answers, but my heart goes our to you, and my prayers are with you. Sending you a cyber hug! Take good care of yourself, go easy on yourself and do not expect too much, too soon. It is hard for us moms to let our weary souls rest. I am here crying for your loss. May God bring you comfort and strength.

  3. Michelle-

I am so sorry, and I have been thinking about you SO much since you sister-in-love, my mother-in-law, told me. So are in our prayers and I completely understand your loss, but couldn't imagine what you had to go through on top of it. Please know that we are here for you, and call anytime.

    Niece in love

  4. I have been wondering where you have been, you haven't blogged or commented in awhile. So sorry to hear about the miscarriage, I have only had the one but I still think about that baby alot. If only God could give us the answers to those questions!!

So glad to hear that Jouster is home and doing well. How was your time with Stacy?

  5. I'm sending love to you. I have no words for the sadness and joy these cahnges bring. Thinking of you often!

  6. Praying for you Michelle...I am so sorry.

Do you need to take an iron supplement ...perhaps this will help you overcome the 'tired' more quickly. I imagine you lost a lot of blood.

I am still praying for Jouster. May His hands be knit to God's.

    Love you

  7. I am so sorry Michelle. I wish I could give you a hug right now. Praying for your recovery my friend.

Great news about Jouster. I'm praying for him too.

    God Bless,

  8. Oh Michelle - I am so sorry. My prayers go out to you... and hooray for Jouster being home. Blessings to you all.

  9. Michelle, Oh I am so sorry. Most Mothers love their children immediately and unconditionally in the womb. It is a beautiful connection, now sorrowfully sympathy.

  10. Hi Michelle,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope and pray that you will continue to recover. God bless you and your family.

I love to hear what you have to say.
